No Deal with Imran Khan, Says Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has categorically rejected reports suggesting any deal between the government and jailed PTI founder Imran Khan.

Speaking on the matter, Sanaullah clarified that no agreement has been made and no such arrangement is currently under consideration. He also dismissed claims that any institution had offered concessions to the former prime minister.

The adviser said the government’s position remains clear and consistent. He emphasized that dialogue is possible, but only within a constitutional and political framework. According to him, political forces must come together for national stability and agree to what he termed a “Charter of Stability for Pakistan.”

Sanaullah revealed that a serious engagement took place on November 24, which included Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and PTI leaders Asad Qaiser and Amir Dogar. He stated that discussions were held in good faith but ultimately did not succeed.

According to Sanaullah, the talks failed due to Imran Khan’s refusal to accept certain terms. He described the PTI founder’s approach as rigid and said some of the conditions presented were not workable for the government.

He further stressed that an apology for the May 9 incidents remains essential. Without acknowledgment of those events, he said, meaningful dialogue cannot begin. Sanaullah termed it the first and most important step toward reconciliation and political stability in the country.
