Three Rescue 1122 Officials Abducted In Tank As Police Launch Search Operation

A serious security incident has been reported in Tank, where three officials of Rescue 1122 were abducted by unidentified armed men.

According to officials, the incident occurred near Safdar village within the jurisdiction of the Syed Mureed Akbar police station. Tanveer Ahmad confirmed the abduction and stated that an investigation is currently underway.

Reports indicate that the attackers had set up a roadside blockade and stopped the Rescue 1122 team. The armed men then held the personnel at gunpoint and forcibly took them to an undisclosed location.

The abducted individuals have been identified as senior in-charge Waqar Alam, clerk Mudassar, and driver Iftikhar. Sources also revealed that the suspects took away the team’s private vehicle during the incident.

Following the abduction, police quickly responded by reaching the site, cordoning off the area, and launching a search operation to recover the kidnapped officials. Authorities are actively working to trace the suspects, though no further details have been released regarding their identity or whereabouts.

This incident adds to growing security concerns in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where similar abductions have been reported in recent weeks. In a recent case, several road construction workers were also abducted in Tirah Valley under similar circumstances.

The latest development highlights ongoing challenges in maintaining law and order in certain regions, prompting urgent action from security forces to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted personnel.
