Lahore Safari Park is set to introduce Pakistan’s first permanent 7D immersive wildlife cinema in November 2026, offering visitors an interactive experience designed to combine entertainment with wildlife education and conservation awareness. The project aims to provide families and tourists with a new attraction while promoting knowledge about biodiversity, animal habitats and wildlife protection.
Named the “Immersive Wildlife Experience,” the facility is being developed under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. According to the supplied report, the project is in its final finishing stage under the supervision of the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab. The Punjab Forest, Wildlife and Fisheries Department says the cinema will use advanced digital technology and educational content to encourage awareness of wildlife conservation and peaceful coexistence between humans and animals.
Advanced Technology to Create an Immersive Wildlife Experience
The new 7D cinema will feature moving seats synchronised with on-screen scenes, giving visitors a more interactive viewing experience. Special effects are planned to simulate natural elements such as rain, wind, soil scents and lightning, helping audiences experience wildlife documentaries in a more realistic environment.
The facility is also expected to feature Dolby Atmos sound and 4K laser projection technology, combining immersive audio with high-quality visuals. These features are intended to make wildlife documentaries and educational presentations more engaging for visitors of different age groups.
According to the project specifications, the cinema will accommodate up to 50 visitors at a time. It will cover approximately four kanals, with a covered area of around 16,700 square feet. The project has an estimated cost of Rs1 billion, representing a major investment in modern wildlife education and recreational facilities in Lahore.
Officials expect the combination of interactive seating, environmental effects and wildlife-focused content to help visitors learn about animal species, biodiversity and natural habitats in an engaging format.
Mobile Wildlife Theatres Planned for Other Districts
Alongside the permanent cinema at Lahore Safari Park, mobile moving theatres are also planned for other parts of Punjab. The proposed facilities are intended to extend wildlife education beyond the provincial capital and make interactive learning more accessible to children and students in smaller cities and other districts.
Through these mobile theatres, the Punjab Forest, Wildlife and Fisheries Department aims to introduce younger audiences to wildlife protection and biodiversity through technology-based educational experiences. The initiative could also help increase public awareness of conservation among people who cannot easily visit Lahore Safari Park.
Part of Lahore Safari Park’s Wider Development Plan
The 7D cinema forms part of a broader modernisation programme at Lahore Safari Zoo. A separate Phase-II master-plan project, estimated to cost Rs6.96 billion, is scheduled to run from July 2025 to June 2027, according to the supplied report.
The wider development plan includes a wildlife theme park, an immersive experience centre, an aquarium described in the project details as South Asia’s largest, and a walk-through bird aviary planned to be Pakistan’s largest. These proposed additions are intended to expand the park’s recreational and educational facilities.
Lahore Safari Park already offers attractions such as a lion safari, a walk-through aviary, a lake and boating facilities. The planned developments are expected to diversify the visitor experience by combining wildlife-related activities with modern entertainment and educational opportunities.
Public Opening Expected in November 2026
According to the project information, construction of the 7D cinema has been completed, while interior and lighting work has also been carried out. Final finishing work is currently underway, with the facility expected to open to the public in November 2026.
The launch would introduce a new wildlife-themed attraction in Lahore, bringing together immersive technology, tourism and conservation education. The permanent cinema and proposed mobile theatres are intended to broaden access to wildlife learning while supporting the ongoing development of Lahore Safari Park.
