Islamabad (Soon Times), Editor-in-Chief of Manaqib Islamabad and Soon Times Shah Muhammad Awan, while welcoming the digital policy regarding advertisements on newspaper websites by the Ministry of Information said that in this way the future of small and regional newspapers will be secured. This will end the stagnation in the newspaper industry. Shah Muhammad Awan added, he hopes the process would be kept transparent after cabinet approval. Under the digital policy, it is proposed to allocate one billion rupees for advertisements on the websites of national and regional newspapers which will be monitored by the Cyber Crime Wing.
