A man has been arrested in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Ravi area after allegedly torturing a 10-year-old boy over a broken car window.
According to the child’s family, the boy, identified as Hafeez-ur-Rehman, was allegedly subjected to violence by a man named Hassan Raza after a car window was broken. The family claimed that the accused used a water pipe to assault the child.
Police took immediate action after receiving a complaint regarding the alleged incident. A case was registered against Hassan Raza under charges related to child abuse, and the suspect was subsequently arrested.
According to the spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the accused, named in case No. 898/26, has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further legal proceedings.
The police spokesperson stressed that violence and harassment against children are unacceptable under any circumstances. Authorities said legal action is being taken in accordance with the law and that efforts are being made to protect the child and ensure justice.
The incident has raised concerns over violence against children and the need for responsible handling of disputes involving minors. Further investigation will determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and the legal consequences for the accused.
