PML-F Alleges Armed Attacks on Party Offices in Karachi, 10 Workers Injured

Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) has alleged that its party offices and workers came under armed attack in Karachi, leaving at least 10 activists injured. The incident reportedly occurred during the inauguration of a new party office in Baldia Town, where unidentified armed individuals opened fire late at night.

According to PML-F Sindh Secretary General Sardar Abdul Rahim, the injured workers were later taken into custody instead of action being taken against the attackers. He termed the situation as unjust and accused law enforcement agencies of operating under political pressure.

The party has blamed Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) for the attack, claiming that similar incidents have taken place in recent days, including another office being targeted in Surjani Town. Despite attempts to de-escalate tensions by contacting MQM-P leadership, PML-F alleges that violence has continued.

Rahim further claimed that the incidents reflect a broader pattern of political victimization and increasing instability in Karachi. He also accused rival political parties of attempting to suppress PML-F’s growing support base.

On the other hand, MQM-P has rejected the allegations and instead demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the firing. The party described the situation as a failure of law enforcement and raised concerns over the deteriorating law and order conditions in the city.

These developments highlight rising political tensions in Karachi, a city historically affected by political conflicts. Authorities are now under pressure to investigate the incidents and ensure accountability while maintaining peace and stability.
