The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Glasgow chapter held an important meeting to review Pakistan’s current political situation and discuss preparations for the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.
The meeting brought together senior party leaders, including PPP Glasgow President Mirza Tahir Baig, General Secretary Raza Sheikh, Senior Vice President Chaudhry Ansar Pothi, and Information Secretary Habib Ahmed Riaz, who exchanged views on national political developments and outlined strategies to strengthen the party’s organizational structure.
Participants emphasized the importance of promoting democratic values, political unity, and active public participation. They agreed that strong democratic institutions and effective representation are essential for addressing public concerns and ensuring political stability.
The leaders also reviewed the chapter’s organizational performance and discussed ways to expand the party’s outreach among overseas Pakistanis and members of the Kashmiri community living in Scotland. They stressed the need for stronger coordination within the party and greater engagement with supporters.
During the meeting, participants reaffirmed their commitment to the ideology and democratic principles of the Pakistan Peoples Party. They said the party would continue working to strengthen democratic institutions and protect the rights of the people through peaceful political struggle.
A major focus of the discussions was the upcoming AJK elections, with party leaders agreeing to actively support the election campaign and work collectively to strengthen the party’s position ahead of the polls. They expressed confidence that improved organization, teamwork, and closer coordination with supporters would contribute to the party’s electoral performance.
