Barrister Gohar Rejects Muhammad Ali Saif’s Claims Over Efforts to Meet Imran Khan

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has rejected claims made by Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif regarding attempts to arrange a meeting with the party’s founder, Imran Khan. Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gohar said he had made every possible effort to meet the former prime minister.

Gohar dismissed Saif’s claim that he had been offered an opportunity to meet Imran Khan but had failed to take it. He also rejected statements made by Saif during a television interview, describing them as false and baseless.

The PTI chairman said the party had pursued every available channel to gain access to its incarcerated founder. These efforts, he explained, included legal proceedings and negotiations, but the authorities had not granted permission for a meeting.

Gohar further maintained that access to Imran Khan had been one of PTI’s key conditions during negotiations. He said the party had consistently requested a meeting but had not received approval from the relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif had claimed that Senator Raja Nasir Abbas was in direct contact with influential figures in the establishment. However, Saif said those contacts were not intended to secure Imran Khan’s release.

Gohar’s response comes amid continued questions surrounding PTI’s efforts to establish contact with its incarcerated founder and the role of negotiations in securing access to him. The differing statements by the two lawyers have brought renewed attention to the party’s position on the matter.
