The CM Punjab Swimming Academies Championship has officially begun at the Punjab International Swimming Complex, bringing together nearly 800 young swimmers from swimming academies across the province. The two-day event aims to promote competitive swimming, discover emerging talent, and encourage youth participation in sports.
Boys and girls from Under-6 to Under-19 age categories are participating in the championship, showcasing their skills, determination, and sportsmanship before coaches, officials, parents, and spectators.
The competition includes five exciting swimming events tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring fair and competitive participation. The events are:
- 25-metre Kickboard Race
- 25-metre Floater Race
- 25-metre Backstroke
- 25-metre Breaststroke
- 25-metre Freestyle
The championship is designed to encourage children and teenagers to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle while developing their swimming abilities from an early age. Organizers believe such competitions play an important role in improving athletes’ confidence, fitness, discipline, and technical skills.
