Gwadar Port has witnessed a fresh boost in commercial operations as two cargo ships recently berthed at the facility, carrying machinery, general goods, and bulk fertiliser.

According to officials, one vessel, MV HOM Leader, arrived with approximately 368.7 tons of machinery and general cargo, contributing to the port’s growing role in handling diverse shipments. The second vessel, MV Dolphin 103, delivered around 5,000 metric tons of MOP fertiliser, highlighting the port’s capacity to manage bulk commodities efficiently.

Authorities stated that unloading operations are currently in progress, with port workers actively engaged in ensuring timely clearance of cargo. Full logistical arrangements have been made to facilitate smooth operations and avoid delays.

Officials from the Gwadar Port Authority noted that the increasing number of ship arrivals reflects a steady rise in the port’s commercial activity and operational capability. They described the development as a positive sign for the region’s economic growth and trade potential.

Chairman Noor-ul-Haq Baloch highlighted that the enhanced handling capacity of Gwadar Port is encouraging, while spokesperson Jameel Qasim emphasized the port’s emerging role as a regional hub for transshipment, machinery handling, and bulk cargo.
