Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, has issued directives to ensure smooth and timely transportation of Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.
The minister instructed the Pakistan Haj Mission to make effective arrangements for transporting pilgrims to key holy sites, including Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. These locations, collectively known as the Mashair, require precise logistical coordination due to the large number of pilgrims moving simultaneously.
To improve on-ground management, the minister ordered the deployment of Murshids (guides) on buses. These guides must be well-versed in routes and fully aware of tent locations in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah to assist pilgrims efficiently during their journey.
A key part of the directive is ensuring clear communication with pilgrims. The minister emphasized that pilgrims must be informed in advance about their mode of transportation—whether by bus or train—to avoid confusion and ensure smooth travel operations.
In addition to transport planning, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf highlighted the importance of timely completion of the ritual animal sacrifice under Saudi Arabia’s Adahi Project, ensuring that religious obligations are fulfilled without delays.
These measures aim to enhance the overall Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims by focusing on organization, guidance, and timely execution of key arrangements. The directives place responsibility on the Pakistan Haj Mission to ensure that all systems are effectively implemented.
Overall, the government’s focus is on providing a safe, well-organized, and spiritually fulfilling journey for pilgrims during one of the most significant religious events in Islam.
