The Punjab government is planning to establish a Rescue 1122 station in Chakwal this year to improve emergency response and provide faster medical, fire and rescue assistance to residents.
Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Chaudhry Haider Sultan discussed the proposed facility with Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique.
During the meeting, Haider Sultan stressed the need to strengthen emergency response facilities in Chakwal. He said expanding Rescue 1122 services would be important for ensuring timely assistance to people facing medical emergencies, fires and other incidents.
Khawaja Salman Rafique supported the proposal and said the Punjab government, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was committed to improving emergency services across the province.
The minister directed relevant officers to examine the feasibility of the proposed Rescue 1122 station, including its location, staffing and resource requirements. He also instructed officials to submit a progress report at the earliest so that the facility could be established in Chakwal within the current year.
The proposed station is expected to strengthen emergency response capabilities in the district by reducing response times and improving access to medical, fire and rescue services.
Officials said the facility would benefit residents of Chakwal as well as people living in surrounding areas by providing quicker assistance during emergencies.
