Six Terrorists Killed in Security Operations in Khyber and Bannu

Security forces killed six terrorists in two separate counter-terrorism operations carried out in Khyber and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, according to official sources.

In Khyber district, five militants were eliminated during a major operation in the Akkakhel area of Bara. The operation took place in Tandori village, near Khazankhel on the outskirts of Peshawar. Officials said the militants had recently gathered in the area after moving from the Tirah Valley, posing a growing threat to local security.

Authorities stated that the operation was carefully planned to ensure civilian safety. To minimise the risk of collateral damage, security forces avoided using drones or quadcopters during the operation.

In a separate operation in Bannu district, a wanted militant identified as Naeemat Wazir, also known as “Grenade,” was killed during an exchange of fire in Mamatin Khel, located in the Jani Khel subdivision. Officials described him as a key figure involved in multiple acts of terrorism and unrest in the region.

Security forces engaged in intense gunfire during the Bannu operation, which resulted in the successful elimination of the suspect. No further details were provided regarding any casualties among security personnel.

These coordinated operations highlight ongoing efforts by security forces to maintain peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in areas affected by militant activity.
