ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, describing the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a great blessing from Allah Almighty.
In their separate messages, both leaders said the occasion provides an opportunity to remember the blessings associated with the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and renew the commitment to his teachings and guidance.
President Zardari said the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) marked the beginning of a bright era based on faith, knowledge, justice and fairness.
He said the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provides a complete path towards success and salvation. According to the president, a righteous and stable society can be built by following principles of justice, piety and strong moral values.
Zardari stressed that true love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) requires Muslims to incorporate his Seerah and Sunnah into their practical lives. He urged people to demonstrate the Prophet’s teachings through their character, conduct and dealings with others.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the universal importance of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said the Prophet’s life remains an eternal source of guidance for humanity, promoting values including compassion, justice, tolerance, unity and service to others.
The prime minister said these principles provide a strong foundation for building a peaceful and prosperous society.
Shehbaz Sharif urged the nation to renew its commitment to shaping individual character and collective behaviour according to the teachings of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).
He also called for a collective resolve to build a peaceful, stable and prosperous Pakistan while promoting unity, brotherhood and mutual respect among citizens.
Both leaders emphasised that the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should not be limited to commemorative occasions but should be reflected in everyday life.
Their messages on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal called upon citizens to promote justice, compassion, tolerance, unity and moral values in society while working for the progress and stability of Pakistan.
