Over 35,000 Illegal Foreign Nationals Deported Across Punjab

The evacuation and deportation process of illegally residing foreign nationals in Punjab is continuing under strict security arrangements, according to officials from the Punjab Police. Authorities confirmed that more than 35,000 illegal foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, have so far been deported from various districts across the province, including Lahore.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the deported individuals include 13,728 men, 7,048 women, and 14,366 children. Officials further stated that among those deported were 10,898 residence proof holders, 11,131 Afghan Citizen Card holders, and 13,113 individuals identified as illegally residing foreign nationals.

Punjab Inspector General of Police Abdul Kareem stated that security measures across Punjab remain on high alert while the deportation process is being carried out according to government policies and international legal frameworks. He emphasized that Punjab Police is implementing the deportation policy in a lawful, organized, and structured manner.

Authorities also confirmed that 163 illegally residing individuals are currently present at different holding points while further legal and administrative procedures continue.

Meanwhile, strict security arrangements were observed across Punjab, including Lahore, on the occasion of Jummatul Mubarak. Police officials were directed to enhance security at mosques, imambargahs, shrines, markets, business centers, and other sensitive public places.

In compliance with these directives, effective patrolling was carried out around religious sites, commercial hubs, and major highways throughout the province. Senior police officers and district officials remained in the field to supervise security operations and ensure law and order.

Punjab IGP Abdul Kareem reiterated that protecting the lives, property, and safety of citizens remains the top priority of Punjab Police. He added that police officers also met citizens after Friday prayers, listened to their concerns, and resolved issues immediately wherever possible.

The ongoing deportation campaign is part of broader government efforts aimed at regulating illegal residency and strengthening security measures across Pakistan. Officials say the process will continue under established legal procedures and government policy guidelines.
