Barrister Gohar Demands Hospital Shift For Imran Khan And Bushra Bibi

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has called for urgent medical attention for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, urging authorities to ensure their immediate transfer to a hospital for treatment and medical evaluation.

In a recent statement, the PTI chairman criticised what he described as a “seek and hide approach” regarding their health conditions, emphasizing that growing concerns require transparent and timely action. He demanded that both individuals be shifted to a medical facility where they can receive treatment under the supervision of their personal doctors and in the presence of family members.

Barrister Gohar revealed that Bushra Bibi had recently been taken to Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital for a follow-up examination after undergoing eye surgery. According to reports, she had been experiencing vision problems due to retinal detachment and had previously undergone a surgical procedure conducted by a panel of specialists.

Following her treatment, Bushra Bibi was shifted back to Adiala Jail, where she is currently serving a sentence in multiple cases, including the Toshakhana-related matter. Medical follow-ups were also reportedly conducted within the jail premises after her surgery.

Barrister Gohar expressed serious concern about both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s health, stating that the situation requires immediate intervention. He also confirmed that a request had been made for a family meeting to assess their condition more closely.

The statement has intensified discussions around the medical care and transparency surrounding high-profile detainees in Pakistan. It also highlights broader concerns regarding access to healthcare facilities and the need for proper medical supervision for individuals in custody.

The development comes amid ongoing political and legal challenges faced by the former prime minister and his spouse, drawing public attention to their wellbeing and the conditions under which they are being held.
