Imran Khan Briefed on Possible Governor’s Rule in KP During Meeting with Salman Safdar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was reportedly briefed on the possibility of governor’s rule and emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a meeting with his lawyer, Salman Safdar, at Adiala Jail.

According to sources, the discussion included recent developments concerning the provincial government and the possibility of PTI losing power in the province. Khan was informed about the potential imposition of governor’s rule or emergency measures amid ongoing political developments in KP.

Sources said the former prime minister did not react strongly to the briefing and did not discuss the matter at length during the meeting. Instead, he reportedly directed the party to focus on his ongoing legal cases and efforts to secure his transfer to a hospital.

The sources added that Khan wanted PTI to give priority to his court proceedings and hospital transfer rather than concentrating on the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting between Khan and Salman Safdar took place at Adiala Jail as questions continued to surround the PTI founder’s legal matters, custody arrangements and developments involving the provincial government.

The reported briefing comes amid political discussions about the possibility of emergency measures or governor’s rule in KP. However, the available information does not indicate that any formal decision has been made regarding such measures.

The latest account suggests that Khan’s legal proceedings and request for a hospital transfer remained the main focus of the meeting, while the reported possibility of governor’s rule received comparatively limited discussion.
