PM Shehbaz Sharif Hosts Dinner for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Prime Minister House

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner in honour of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Tuesday. The gathering followed a meeting between the two leaders, during which they discussed the country’s political and economic situation and exchanged views on key national issues.

According to sources, several federal ministers, including Amir Muqam, Ahsan Iqbal and Rana Sanaullah, were also present. A senior PPP delegation attended the dinner, comprising former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Senator Sherry Rehman and Naveed Qamar.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also joined the gathering. Other participants included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider.

The dinner took place amid ongoing political consultations between the coalition partners over national affairs, governance and developments affecting the federal coalition and provincial political landscape.

Before attending the dinner, Bilawal chaired a high-level meeting of PPP leadership. Participants discussed the evolving situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly matters concerning the possible imposition of an emergency and governor’s rule in the province. Senior party members exchanged views on the provincial developments and their potential political implications.

Bilawal later departed from the Prime Minister House after the dinner. Although the discussions covered political and economic matters, the available report did not mention any specific decisions or formal agreements reached during the meeting.

The engagement reflects continued consultations between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-led federal government and its coalition partner, the PPP, on issues concerning national governance and the political situation in the provinces.
