Tourism in Kaghan Valley is set to resume after a five-month closure caused by heavy snowfall, bringing relief to travelers and local businesses alike. Authorities have accelerated restoration work on key routes, including the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) Road, which has already been cleared up to Battakundi and is expected to reopen fully within days.
According to district officials, additional routes such as Manoor Valley Road and access to the famous Lake Saiful Muluk are also being restored to ensure smooth and safe travel for tourists. The reopening of Babusar Top, which connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit-Baltistan, is also under consideration, further boosting tourism prospects in the region.
Heavy machinery has been deployed to remove snow and landslides, while authorities are taking strict measures to ensure safety and improved facilities for visitors. Meanwhile, Naran police have resumed operations, and security posts along the MNJ Road are being reactivated to maintain law and order.
The revival of tourism is expected to significantly boost the local economy, as businesses prepare to welcome visitors from across Pakistan and abroad. Officials remain optimistic that tourism activities will return to full capacity soon, marking a fresh start for one of Pakistan’s most محبوب travel destinations.
