Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced plans to expand the admission quota of Daanish Schools for foreign students, including children from Bangladesh. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Daanish Schools Authority, where officials reviewed measures to improve educational opportunities and enhance academic standards.
The meeting approved an increase in the quota for students from Balochistan, while seats will also be allocated for Bangladeshi students following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directions. According to officials, Bangladeshi students will start studying at Daanish Schools from next year.
Currently, around 1,100 students from different provinces are studying in Daanish Schools under special quotas. The authority is also working on introducing an artificial intelligence (AI) syllabus for students from grades six to nine and developing opportunities for global scholarships for talented students.
Rana Sikandar Hayat highlighted the importance of providing quality education and said new Daanish Schools are being constructed in Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Fazilpur, Arifwala and Phool Nagar. He directed officials to complete these projects while maintaining high standards of infrastructure and education.
The expansion of the Daanish Schools program aims to provide better educational opportunities to deserving students from Pakistan and abroad.
