A recent survey conducted by Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) has ranked Suthra Punjab as the most significant public initiative undertaken by the Punjab government, reflecting strong public approval of its service delivery efforts.
According to the survey findings, the Suthra Punjab programme secured the highest rating among all government initiatives, receiving 33 percent support from respondents. The programme has been widely recognized as a key contributor to improved sanitation services across the province.
The survey also highlighted that cleanliness and sanitation were the most noticeable areas of progress under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Respondents credited the implementation of Suthra Punjab for visible improvements in municipal services and overall urban management.
In addition to sanitation, the IPOR report noted positive developments in local government performance, indicating better administrative efficiency and service delivery at the grassroots level.
The survey further pointed to encouraging progress in the health and education sectors. While these areas did not surpass Suthra Punjab in public recognition, respondents acknowledged noticeable improvements, suggesting a broader impact of government policies beyond sanitation.
Overall, the findings reflect a strong public perception of the Punjab government’s performance, particularly in sectors directly affecting daily life. The success of Suthra Punjab, as identified by the survey, highlights the importance of effective implementation and visible outcomes in gaining public trust.
The report concludes that sanitation, along with improvements in health and education, has played a central role in shaping positive public opinion regarding the provincial government’s initiatives.
